Conrad Veidt died when done well deserved a funeral and a grave. Certainly not a funeral and a tomb that was plagued by Nazi Germany, but England and the United States. had done well a funeral and a grave to rest. Did not deserve that his ashes would remain closed for years and years in a ballot box in the basement of a grandchild. You just have to thank his fans (read here) thethunderchild.com/ActorSites/ConradVeidt/Life/Guardian.html

I agree with you in a certain respect. Connie's ashes were initially kept at the cemetery in California, but after his wife Lily died in 1980, their both ashes were mingled and remained in the same urn, and in her nephew's house - Ivan Rado. Connie has no living relatives, as his daughter Viola died, too, in 2004. I admire the person who gave the entire sum of money so Connie would peacefully rest for ever at Golders Green Crematorium. Of course, it might be little for such a great, fine actor, who should have had a grave at the Hollywoodian cemetery, but at least he has now a place of his own.
