And so far I have basked in the glow of one American movie of Connie's and one British Movie.
And I will say this, the British Film Industry seems to have been much more generous to Connie than Hollywood was. I noticed Connie's name precedes the title in ALL the films he did for Britain and SOME of the films from Hollywood.

You are absolutely right, Mary Ellen. That is why Connie became a British citizen - he really loved the UK.
Tell me, did Robert Osborne say anything or did he invite someone to talk about Connie?

That's the weird thing, Monica. I've been up since 5:30 EST. I've seen Above Suspicion, Contraband, All Throught the Night, Jew Suss, The Spy In Black, Whistling in the Dark and am now watching the beginning of Escape and neigher Bob Osborne nor Ben Mankowicz has said word one. Each movie has been introduced by the movie program introction like "Roll Film" or "Now Showing.
It seems that this whole "What does Robert Osborne have to say about Connie" seems to have been a bust. No one has yet said anything about Connie but I am holding out hope since the evening program has not yet come and maybe they will say something then.

OK! Just as I thought! Now that the evening programs are here we are FINALLY getting some commentary about Connie and his films.
It's being done by Ben Mankowicz and I saw it begin at "Hands of Orlac" I'm afraid I did not recored "A Woman's Face" since I already have it on DVD so if the commentary started earlier than 8:00 pm I have no idea. BUT! I do have every movie from now until the end of Connie Day so whatever commentary there remains to be spoken, I will be there to comment on it.

Please let me know if there was an interesting discussion about Connie and if they showed the short presentation What a Character! I also want to know what version they showed for Dark Journey. I saw some clips on TCM and observed that my original DVD version is superior to TCM's print.
